Today we travelled to Stansted for the first heat of the UK Tea Brewers Championship!
The event (in its second years) aims to provide the hospitality industry with a platform for showcasing well-made tea.
The 3 teas prepared by the contestants were favourites of ours :
~ Shaded Sencha
~ Taiwanese Black
~ Mi Lan Dan Cong (Honey Orchid)
Each tea was prepared according to weight, water temperature and steeping time chosen by the contestant. The teas were then judged for clarity, aroma and flavour
This heat was hosted by the UK Beverage Standards Association so it gave us the extra pleasure to meet with and spend time talking to them about the world of drink!
