Fine tea needs to be kept from extreme temperatures, odours and natural light. Keep your tea sealed in our ziplock packaging or decant to an airtight container.
If cared for, black tea, oolongs and herbal infusions will maintain their flavours for more than 12 months. Pu’ Er (and darker, roasted Oolong) tea will actually improve with age. Less-processed tea (Green, White and Yellow) is more susceptible to deterioration and best enjoyed within 6-9 months. Good excuse to drink lots of it quickly!At what temperature should I drink my tea?
The golden rule is never, ever use boiling water. If you don’t have a temperature-controlled kettle, grab your kettle before it boils (if you allow the water to boil and then wait for it to cool it will still lose some of its purity).
Black tea, Pu’ Er and our herbal infusions are best at 95 degrees. Oolongs are best between 85-90 degrees. Green, White and Yellow tea is better at lower temperatures (see individual teas for guidelines)
We are always checking to see how much tea we have. To ensure our tea is always fresh we order throughout the year.
Some tea we find, however, is quite rare and the producer will only let us buy a little bit. In this instance we may not be able to source any more until the following season. Contact us and we can suggest an alternative.

If you receive teaware from us that is damaged, please email us within 3 working days. We will of course contact you to arrange a happy outcome.
Please note however that due to its perishable nature we are unable to take refunds or returns of our tea.
