The region of Darjeeling sits high up on the Lesser Himalaya. Here, at more than 1200 metres, the climate is cooler and rainfall is plentiful.

These conditions produce a tea that is more gentle and subtle. For its subtlety Darjeeling is often referred to as the Champagne of Tea’.

A 2nd Flush Darjeeling loses some of the gentle, floral and delicate notes of the earlier harvest, but makes up for that with more strength, nuance and depth. The flavours are more layered.

Our 2nd Flush hails from the world-renowned Puttabong garden. This example is rich, balanced and has a startlingly clear deep orange in the cup.
